Daphne Macnaughton, founder of 1000 x 5 believes the concept is replicable in (almost)
any community; and she is not the least proprietary about the 1000 X 5. Daphne
believes that recognizable branding is useful for any who wish to participate. She
would be pleased to share what she has learned and developed to help

1000 x 5: Chidren’s Book Recycling Project which aims to ensure every child in the Saanich Peninsula has at least 1,000 books read to them by the time they are five years old and entering kindergarten.
